Outpatient Drug Rehab in Glendale

Statistics indicate that 16.5 percent of United States citizens ages 12+ met the criteria for a substance use disorder at some point in 2021. Nearly one in four adults 18+ met the criteria for a mental illness in the past year. However, it is all too common that people with mental health and substance use disorders don’t get the help they need. If left untreated, symptoms of mental health conditions and substance abuse can worsen. They may become increasingly fatal and affect your quality of life tremendously.

For many people, outpatient treatment provides an opportunity to get help for addiction that would not otherwise be there. The cost of inpatient treatment and the inability to take time off work or their other obligations can be barriers for people with substance use disorders and mental health conditions in some cases. Some of our clients have been to inpatient treatment and want to either return to outpatient rather than inpatient or pursue outpatient as a step-down form of care to help them ease the transition. Similarly, inpatient treatment is not the right fit for every person in recovery.

While there are a lot of reasons to choose an outpatient drug rehab in Glendale, one of the major advantages for every client is that it lets you get the benefits of a comprehensive addiction treatment program paired with the comfort and flexibility of living off-site. We can help you face triggers that arise in daily life in real time and expand your set of coping skills. If you need other services, such as detox, we may be able to refer you.

Our location makes ARTS IOP an ideal option for those seeking drug rehab in Glendale. ARTS IOP is located in Canoga Park, CA. While we are not in Glendale, we are a short commute away. We provide multiple levels of care so that every client has a treatment program that fits.

Levels of Care

If you’re looking for an outpatient drug rehab in Glendale or nearby, you may wonder what the difference is between each level of care used in an outpatient setting. The required time commitment and treatment schedule are the main features that distinguish each level of outpatient care from one another. Here is a general idea of what you can expect in the partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs at ARTS IOP. Your exact treatment schedule will be determined based on your needs, and clients can add extra or additional treatments if needed.

Partial hospitalization programs (PHP) are the highest level of outpatient care. Partial hospitalization clients can expect to attend care at ARTS IOP from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday each week for the duration of their treatment program. Your daily schedule will consist of activities that include but aren’t limited to group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, educational groups, alternative or holistic treatments, and other services. PHP can be similar to the intensity of an inpatient treatment center’s program regarding the amount of therapy you engage in per week, but you get to go home at the end of the treatment day.

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) requires a lower time commitment than PHP and offers more flexibility. As an IOP client, you’ll attend group sessions for three hours 3-5 days per week in addition to an individual therapy session with your assigned provider. IOP can be ideal for clients who work or go to school while in treatment due to the lower time commitment per day. Clients often stay in IOP for around 4-12 weeks, though it varies from person to person.

The outpatient program at ARTS IOP is very adaptable and requires a low time commitment. Outpatient can help clients who have completed a higher level of care stay connected to their treatment team and transition out of care smoothly, or it can be used for those who need less intensive treatment for minor symptoms.
